Striving for Skinamilism

Working in health and skincare I became increasingly aware of the benefits of polynucleotides, both from dermatologists and friends.  I needed to give them a go!

For my Polynucleotide facial I chose Pippa, at the Sechi Skin Clinic.  Pippa is based at her clinics both in Marlow and Basingstoke.  She is super knowledgeable and highly experienced in skincare, as well as aesthetic treatments.  I have visited Pippa for some years now, and trust her clinical expertise and understanding of my skin's challenges.

This facial treatment is dramatically different from a 'normal facial'.  It doesn't just focus on cleansing, exfoliating and hydrating the skin, it involves a very light touch injectable device to position the polynucleotides into the skin.  The molecules in polynucleotides stimulate skin repair, boost hydration and improve elasticity at a deeper level.

The treatment can leave you feeling slightly warm and pinkish, however the red light device which is switched on for a further 15 minutes really does calm and cool the skin.  It's really wonderful.

I personally noted an immediate difference in my skin.  'Glass skin' is really how I would describe my skin.  I glowed from the moment I walked out of the clinic and as for make up - I needed far less than usual.  Also your make up goes on like silk and doesn't sit or clog any parts of the face.  I would add that my skin is not particularly sensitive, but I was warned that you could remain pinkish for some hours until the skin calms down.

One thing to note, is that it's not exactly a 'one and done' treatment.  You ideally should return for two further treatments over a period of months, to really see the true benefits to your skin.  However, if you are looking for an extra special treatment for a big night, or event this is the one for you.

Finally, it's worth considering the investment - which is above a basic facial, but you really do get what you pay for when working with polynucleotides.  I personally would choose to have a few less regular facials and stick with the polynucleotides!

Pippa offers consultations and is only interested in providing natural and effective outcomes for each of her patients.
