Will You be on Your Own this Christmas Day in Marlow?

A message to Marlow for Christmas this year, you don't need to spend it on your own, you can have a lovely day with people in your community. Julie Lyons shares her invitation to anyone who may be dreading being on their own this year.

My name is Julie and I run Christmas Day for those on their own.

What I have been doing for over 20 years is  cooking Christmas dinner for anybody who is on their own in Marlow and the surrounding areas. This could be anybody from an elderly couple on their own an elderly person on their own or even a parent with children who are on their own and have no family around them.

We can collect everybody and bring them to the club we will give them coffee and mince pies.

We then sing carols before serving up a delicious home-made three course Christmas dinner.

We are trying to get to people who may not know about this as there are too many people who are on their own and lonely at Christmas. I’m asking if anybody wants to join us that they contact me either by email or by phone and register to book on.

This event is completely free of charge and we can collect and take home if people need us to do so.

We would love people to come and join us and have the best Christmas ever -so if you know somebody who’s on their own please please get in touch.
