Meet Alys Gallagher, founder of Faye's Sitters

Faye's Sitters is Marlow's only local babysitting agency, connecting Marlow families with vetted, experienced, and qualified local young people. Faye's Sitters was built to solve a problem all parents know well: easily finding a reliable sitter you can actually trust. The model is simple: parents submit a booking request, they are matched with a suitable sitter, and a flat £7 booking fee covers the whole service. The sitter's hourly rate is paid directly to them after the sit with no agency cut taken from the young sitters. It's deliberately fair on both sides.


The business was founded by Alys Gallagher, a Marlow mum of three and a former secondary school teacher. Having worked for years with young adults, she knows the great potential of young adults and the importance of them being able to find work and employment.



After becoming a mother, Alys retrained in the early years, and worked as a Childminder, so understands the demands of working with young people and what makes for a brilliant babysitter. Alys is someone who genuinely cares about both the families using the service and the young people earning through it.
