Meet Gemma Parr, our local property expert

Updated: May 2

After over 30 years in the property industry, and two decades living in Marlow, launching my own independent estate agency felt like a very natural next step.

I’ve spent much of my career working on Marlow High Street, helping people move at every stage of life — from first-time buyers to families upsizing, and downsizers looking for a simpler way of living. Over the years, I’ve come to understand that moving home is rarely just about bricks and mortar. It’s personal, emotional, and often one of the biggest decisions people make. That’s something I never lose sight of.

Gemma Parr Residential was created to offer a more tailored, hands-on approach to selling and letting homes. As an independent business, I’m able to work closely with my clients, offering honest advice, clear communication, and a level of care that can sometimes be lost in larger, more corporate environments. My focus has always been on quality over quantity — ensuring every property is presented at its very best and every client feels properly supported throughout the process.

I’m fortunate to now have a brilliant Property Consultant, Jade, working alongside me. Having someone I trust implicitly means we can continue to deliver that personal service while supporting a growing number of clients across Marlow and the surrounding villages.

It’s an exciting time for the business, with a new office opening shortly on West Street. While I’ve always embraced a modern, flexible way of working, having a dedicated space in the town feels like an important step — somewhere welcoming where clients can drop in, have a conversation, and feel part of the journey.

Marlow itself continues to be a hugely desirable place to live. Its blend of riverside charm, excellent schools, independent shops and restaurants, and strong transport links makes it attractive to a wide range of buyers. While the property market has seen its share of challenges over the past year, there are encouraging signs of renewed confidence, with more movement and motivation from both buyers and sellers as we move through 2026.

For me, though, it’s always been about more than just the market. It’s about people, relationships, and being part of the community. Many of my clients come through personal recommendation, which is something I’m incredibly proud of and never take for granted.

Whether you’re thinking of moving soon or simply want some honest advice about your home, I’m always happy to have a conversation.
