The Marlow Playing Cards are a beautifully illustrated pack of playing cards that celebrate the best of Marlow — from iconic local spots and independent businesses to hidden gems and community highlights. Designed to be both a charming keepsake and a practical guide, they help locals, visitors and anyone who loves Marlow discover more of the town while supporting local pride and giving back along the way.
This multi-award-winning idea was created by Emma Sweet, who lives and works nearby in Knowl Hill. Emma started the project because she wanted to create something that felt joyful, local and genuinely useful — something that would shine a light on the places that give towns their character and help people feel more connected to where they live. She also leads the pack for the Henley Playing Cards, with more towns set to follow across the UK.

Each card is illustrated in Marlow Bottom by the brilliant Nicola Metcalfe and printed in Amersham, just 17 miles away, so the project is proudly local from start to finish. Plus, 25p from every pack sold is donated to Longridge Activity Centre.
