November Festivities: Christmas Light's Switch on & A Merry Marlow Christmas
The Christmas Lights Switch On is an important date in Marlow and this year Atul Kochhar, one of the UK’s best-known chefs, renowned for his innovative approach to Indian cuisine will be switching them on up on the big red bus.
Atul says, “It’s a pleasure to have been invited to switch on Marlow’s Christmas lights this year. I’m looking forward to joining the crowd on the High Street and being part of the occasion as the town lights up for Christmas. With snow machines adding to the winter atmosphere, it sounds like a lovely way to begin the festive season!”
The event will begin at 6.00pm on Thursday 19 November, with the official Christmas Lights Switch On taking place at 6.30pm. The celebrations will centre on Marlow High Street, with the familiar double-decker bus stationed at the junction of the High Street and Institute Road.
The High Street will be closed and parking suspended from 3.30pm to 8.00pm.
